Our facilities are accessible
We have designed our facilities with comfort and safety in mind, and both clinics are equipped to provide accessibility.
Mobility rails have been placed in the clinic corridors and space has been provided in the units for wheelchair storage during treatment.
The clinics are equipped with electrically operated doors and ramps have been installed at the entrances to both clinics to facilitate access.
Our facilities are comfortable
We have designed our facilities with comfort and safety in mind to make your visit as comfortable as possible.
The dialysis units are equipped with dialysis chairs and beds. We have taken acoustics into account in the design and you can also use the tablet computers available in our units during your treatment. You can listen to the radio or watch films during your treatment. You can also use your own computer with us if you wish, the units are equipped with a guest network.
- Take care when climbing any stairs that may be present in the unit always hold on to the handrail; always use lifts where provided (except in the event of a fire).
- Take care when getting on and off your dialysis chair ensure your clothing is not caught on anything before you stand up. Ideally you should put the chair in the upright position and lower to a comfortable level before getting off.
- After treatment always take your time when leaving your dialysis chair sometimes standing up too quickly can lead to light headedness, which could potentially make you lose your balance and fall.
- Pay attention and take your time when standing on and off the weighing scales ensure your access to them
- If you accidentally spill something such as a drink please inform a member of staff immediately in order that it is cleaned up quickly to prevent anyone slipping.
- Don’t rush around, always take your time when moving around the unit
- Don't enter prohibited areas if an area is off limits to you, it is for a reason
- Don't leave items on the floor they are a trip hazard to yourself, other patients and the staff; always keep personal belongings on the tables provided alongside your dialysis chair in the treatment area, or on your knee in the waiting areas.
- Don't walk around the unit without wearing shoes you are more likely to slip in stockinged feet.
- Don't overreach to get something always ask for assistance

Behaviour
Renalis has a statutory obligation to provide a safe and secure environment for its staff and others as well as a duty to take all reasonable steps to protect and support its staff. Any form of violence, abusive, racist or sexist behaviour against its staff, patients or visitors will not be tolerated.
